funny things…

I know that I need to post about our weekend, but Audrey made me laugh today in the car and I wanted to share!  Every other Monday, I attend a Building Better Moms group at a church with a friend of mine.  Today it was just Audrey and I in the car.  On the way home, she was very talkative!  We got buckled up and I said “do you want to listen to the radio”  and she said “Do you know “Hit it DJ!”  I just laughed and she smiled and said “Mom, do you know that song?”  A few minutes of listening to radio went by and she makes this loud sound out of her mouth and says “Did you hear that, that was a fart!”  Um, what??  I didn’t say anything and she says “No, little girls don’t fart, only little boys!”  I said little girls can fart, everyone farts.  I thought in my head ‘where on earth did this discussion come from!’  A few more minutes of silence went by and she says “I like home depot, but I don’t like our house!”  By this point, nothing out of her mouth was surprising me and I just went with the flow!  The many topics of discussion with just a 3 year old in the car with me today!  I wouldn’t change it for the world…we smiled and laughed the entire way home!  What a character we have!  BTW, I just heard Audrey ask Eli if he knows “Hit it DJ!”  🙂

Whose got spirit?

Jocelyn cheered last weekend for the football tournaments. They cheered for one game on Saturday and 2 games on Sunday.  The Satruday game was a little chilly, but Sundays games were cold, rainy, windy, terrible weather!!  But the girls all did awesome!  On Saturday, 2 of the Chiefs cheerleaders were at the fields.  They came over to our squad to say HI and sign some calendars for the girls. (and some dads too!)  They also stayed to watch the girls practice their dance and the girls loved it!  The Cheifs cheerleaders watching them and telling them that they did a great job!

She was so excited to get this picture taken!  She has always seen them from the stands or on TV!

The girls doing their dance for all the football parents.  Jocelyn (& all the girls) did awesome!

The cheer squad doing a cheer for the football players after the game.  This was a great tradition that the girls did.  They have a great football team that they cheer for.  The girls love to cheer for the boys at the end of the game. 🙂

The tournament weekend is also fun for the cheer squads as well.  The cheerleading directors for the oraganization watch the cheer squads throughout the day and pick their favorites.  The girls who are doing the best job and showing lots of spirit can win the SPIRIT award.  (Jocelyn’s cheer squad won it last year!)  And they won it again this year.  The squad received the trophy at the end of the game and then recieved their medals today at the cheer competition (I will blog about later!)  This is the girls with their trophy!  We were so proud of them!

I didn’t take any pictures at the games on Sunday.  My camera would have gotten ruined in the rain…yes it was that bad!!

Football party and soccer party

We had Eli’s end of the season football and soccer parties a few weeks ago.  Eli got a medal from soccer and a trophy from football.   He had a great season with both sports!  Although, we can tell that he isn’t too sure about football yet, but he LOVES soccer!  He is playing spring soccer and then we will talk about football again next summer.

Here is a picture of Eli getting his football trophy!

The party

When we started talking to Audrey about her birthday party, she named a few people that she wanted to have there.  I also had a few ideas of where to have her party.  When I mentioned Chuck E Cheese, she got a huge smile on her face and said “My birthday party at Chuck E Cheese!”  So, that is where we had the party!

We cannot believe that she was fine with Chuck E!  She did awesome!!

Trying to get most of the kids to pose with Chuck E!  This was the best of 5 pictures!

Audrey and Kalyn…aren’t they adorable!

It was a great party. All the kids (and Parents!) had a great time.  It was one of the easiest parties I have had for the kids.  And it was all that Audrey would talk about for days.  It still even comes up many times during the week.  🙂

Our big 3 year old!

We had several celebrations for Audrey’s 3rd Birthday over a 2 week time period.  So here are all those pictures.

We celebrated her birthday a few weeks early with my mom, sister and Ryder.

The kids helped me decorate the cake.

her own barbie computer…she loves to mess around with our laptop, so this has been perfect!

a new barbie.  She has all of Jocelyn’s old ones, but now she has one of her own.

Audrey got a package and she was so excited!

She opened up an entire box of TinkerBell toys!  Even the card that played music was TinkerBell.

She was very thankful to Grandma and Grandpa that sent her a box of goodies!

We celebrated Audrey’s birthday on her actual birthday with a special dinner.  We let her choose what she wanted us to make.  She chose pancakes and so Brian put some sprinkles in them.

Her 3 pancake with three candles in it.

We also had her birthday party…I will be posting that blog later!

Halloween: Trick or Treating

The kids were so excited to go Trick or Treating this year.  And it was on a Saturday too!

I actually woke up Saturday morning feeling terrible.  I hadn’t been feeling that well for the past week, but Friday night I started to really go down hill.  Saturday morning I woke up with a fever over 103.  So, needless to say, I was in bed all day and hoping no one else was going to get sick.  The kids had already been sick that week before.

Eli had his last soccer game that day and a football game on Saturday.

Brian took him and he played really well!

Saturday evening, I helped them all get ready to go, took a few pictures and then I was off to bed.

Here they are!!

The witch

Bumble Bee the Transformer

TinkerBell

The were out for over an hour.  Audrey wanted to come home.  Then Brian took the other 2 back out for a while.

Carving pumpkins

That fun time of year to make an absolute mess!!

Carving pumpkins!

Here are all the kids with their pumpkins before carving…

And then we started to carve them.  Brian did pretty good with only one good arm.  He did use his right arm more than he should have.  It was pretty sore after this night.  He helped Eli with his spider.

Look at that face.  When we started she said “That is yucky.  I am not sticking my hand in there!”  She needed to use a spoon like Eli most of the time.

Want some??

Eli using the spoon!

Brian took a picture of the 4 of us making a big mess!

We got him to use his hand to dig in the pumpkin…and he didn’t gag!

2 years ago is when he threw up while cleaning out the inside of his pumpkin!

Here are the finished products!

Audreys, Eli’s, Jocelyns, and mine!

Halloween Party’s at school

All of the kids had their Halloween Parties at school.  They all were able to wear their costumes, play games, and eat some yummy snacks!

Audrey singing in her fall program!  She actuall sang…I couldn’t believe it!

Eli’s party was in the morning.  I am one of his room moms, so I helped plan the party.  The kids had so much fun!

I bet you couldn’t tell it was Eli!!
